Overview
IoT systems span devices, connectivity, cloud and apps, and they have to work across flaky networks, varied hardware and real-world conditions you cannot control. We test the whole connected system end to end, so it behaves reliably out in the world, not just on the bench.
Testing IoT is uniquely hard because the software does not live in a tidy, controlled environment, it lives in the real world, where things are unpredictable. A connected system stretches from physical devices and sensors, through intermittent wireless connectivity, to cloud services and the apps people use to control it, and every layer can fail in its own way. Networks drop, devices vary, power is interrupted, conditions change, and many devices run for years and must keep working through all of it. A bug that never appears on the bench can be common, and costly, in the field.
We test the connected system as a whole, the way it actually has to operate. That means verifying the devices, the connectivity, the cloud back end and the apps together, and deliberately recreating the messy real-world conditions where IoT breaks: lost and restored connections, varied and constrained hardware, interrupted power, and the awkward states in between. The goal is a system that is reliable out in the world, where you cannot reach in and fix it, rather than one that only works in the lab.

Our approach
IoT does not fail in the lab, it fails in the field, where you cannot reach it.
We test the full IoT stack together rather than each layer in isolation, because the dangerous defects live in the interactions, between device and network, network and cloud, cloud and app. And we deliberately simulate the real-world conditions that controlled testing usually skips: connectivity that drops mid-operation and comes back, power that is interrupted, devices in odd states, and the synchronisation challenges that arise when parts of the system are temporarily out of touch with each other.
Because IoT devices are often deployed at scale and run for years in places you cannot easily reach, we also pay attention to resilience, recovery and updates, that the system heals after a failure, that data is not lost when connectivity returns, and that firmware and apps can be updated safely in the field. The point is to find, in testing, the failures that would otherwise only show up across thousands of devices in the real world, where fixing them is far harder and more expensive.
