Remote by default, on purpose

Remote is not a compromise for us, it is a deliberate way of working that we have leaned into fully.

Company

Company

Chosen, not tolerated

Remote works when you design for it, not despite it.

We built our habits around remote from the start, written communication, clear ownership and trust over surveillance, so distance is a detail, not a drag on the work.

What remote-by-default means for us

Built for distance

Habits designed for remote, not an office reheated.

Trust over surveillance

Judged by outcomes, not by hours logged online.

Talent anywhere

We hire the right people regardless of the map.

On purpose

Remote is a choice we lean into, not settle for

Done half-heartedly, remote is worse than an office; done fully, it's better.

Remote work fails when it's just an office with everyone dialed in, same meetings, same interruptions, minus the hallway. We treat it as its own way of working, with habits built for distance from the start.

That means clear writing over constant calls, trust over surveillance, and outcomes over hours, so people do their best work where and when they actually work best.

Highlights

How we work

Written first

Clarity over meetings.

Clear ownership

Everyone knows their lane.

Trust

Judged on outcomes, not hours.

A closer look

Remote works when trust replaces surveillance

Remote-by-default is an accountability model, not a location policy. Output is visible in shipped work, written updates and demo days, which makes activity theater (green dots, instant replies) irrelevant and lets people work when they are actually sharp.

The office we invest in is virtual: crisp documentation, searchable decisions and a tool stack where anything worth knowing has a URL. Colocation forgives sloppy communication; distance charges interest on it daily.

We still buy plane tickets. A few deliberate weeks a year of whiteboards and shared meals build the trust reservoir that async spends the rest of the year, remote does not mean never in a room, it means the room is a tool, not a default.

Team for AppsProduct & Engineering

We build software for teams who want their tools to fit the way they actually work — web, mobile, AI and the systems that tie them together. We write here about what we learn shipping it.
