Do it once, not a hundred times
Repetitive work should be one action, not a hundred.
Select a range and apply a change to all of it at once, with a clear preview of what will happen and an undo, so bulk power never means bulk mistakes.
Scale your effort, not your clicks
Select many
Filter, select all and act on hundreds of items at once.
One change, everywhere
Update, move, tag or export the whole selection together.
Fully reversible
Undo any bulk step if the result isn't what you expected.
Why it matters
Do it once, not five hundred times
Repetition is where time quietly disappears.
Updating records one by one is the kind of work that fills an afternoon and leaves nothing to show for it. Bulk actions let you select many items and apply a change to all of them in a single, reversible step.
And because every bulk operation can be undone, you can act decisively without the fear that one wrong click means an hour of cleanup.

In practice
The anatomy of a trustworthy bulk action
A bulk action is a contract: tell me exactly what you are about to do, do it fast, and let me take it back. The preview states the count and the consequence in plain words, 'archive 214 records, notify nobody', before anything moves.
Execution is transactional or resumable, never half-done and silent. If item 137 of 500 fails, the run pauses, shows which ones succeeded, and offers to retry just the failures, no detective work in the database afterwards.
And undo is not a luxury. A thirty-second window to reverse the whole batch turns a scary operation into a routine one, which is precisely when people start trusting bulk tools with real volumes.
We build software for teams who want their tools to fit the way they actually work — web, mobile, AI and the systems that tie them together. We write here about what we learn shipping it.
